The journey from Delhi to Vaishno Devi covers approximately 650 kilometers and typically takes 11-13 hours by road, depending on traffic and road conditions. Starting from Delhi, you head north on NH44, passing through key cities like Sonipat, Panipat, Karnal, and Ambala. The route offers smooth highways and several dhabas, ideal for rest breaks and meals. Continuing through Ludhiana and Jalandhar, you cross into Jammu and Kashmir via Pathankot, where the scenery begins to change from bustling plains to serene hills.

From Jammu, a well-maintained road leads you to Katra, the base town for the Vaishno Devi pilgrimage. The final ascent to the shrine is undertaken on foot, by pony, or via helicopter, depending on your preference. The trek to the holy cave is around 13 kilometers and is marked by breathtaking views of the Trikuta Mountains and a spiritually uplifting ambiance.
